Spring Kantha Jackets (No. 1 - 17)
*Each Jacket is ONE OF A KIND - Choose your favorite from the drop down menu!*
What's old is new again! Our second batch of vintage Kantha Jackets are here for chilly Spring nights. Each jacket is a work of art and sustainable statement piece - handmade with up-cycled circa 1960's Kantha fabric, for a casual fit that never goes out of style.
Kantha is one of the oldest and most traditional forms of embroidery originating in India, and is still ritually practiced today by millions of South Asian women. The word “Kantha” defined means ‘making whole again that which was once fragmented or broken.’
Kantha quilts are known for almost always using the traditional ‘running stitch’, layering soft fabrics together to form a quilt.
Please keep in mind that every Kantha quilt that exists is one of a kind, and carries its own story. Your jacket may have small signs of vintage wear. To love a vintage Kantha quilt is to love its past, and its imperfections. These jackets vary slightly in weight, and texture.
